500Mbps Homeplugs are the ideal solution where a reliable and very fast Internet connection is required and WiFi is not a viable solution. New 'triple play' telecomms packages - HD Video Streaming (IPTV), VoIP telephony and high speed Internet access - require a very high bandwidth.
Using the existing AC power cabling in the home or office, the Internet connection from your Internet Modem/Router 'piggybacks' on the Mains supply to up to 64 Homeplug adaptors, located wherever is convenient. The 500Mbps Homeplugs are able to operate between different ring mains within the home/office, so regardless of whether your modem/router is downstairs and you need an Internet connection upstairs, it's not a problem.
With a maximum bandwidth of 500Mbps these very high speed Homeplugs are ideal for HD video streaming to a PC, Smart TV or Blu-ray® Player, online gaming for HD consoles and other high bandwidth multimedia applications.
The Powerline connection requires a minimum of two Homeplug adaptors to establish an Internet-over-Power connection (one plugs into your Internet Modem/Router, the other for connecting to your PC, Blu-ray® Player, Smart TV or other connected AV or PC device). This single Homeplug adaptor allows you to expand your existing Homeplug system (HP500DL) and share your Powerline Internet connection with another AV or PC device (one adaptor per device is require, up to 64 maximum).
