Powerline Homeplugs

Many AV and PC devices today come with some form of Wireless Internet access built-in. Whilst undoubtedly Wireless is a very convenient solution, even in its fastest form (802.11n) WiFi is only capable of a maximum speed of 300Mbps. Like any wireless signal, WiFi is subject to disruption by radio and electromagnetic noise and the strength of the signal can be severely reduced over distance and the number of physical barriers between devices. All of these together can result in poor or some cases, no Wireless reception at all – WiFi ‘blindspots’.
The new generation of connected AV devices – Smart TVs, Blu-ray® Players, HD Games Consoles etc. rely on a FAST and RELIABLE Internet connection. However, direct connection to an Internet modem/router using Ethernet cables is rarely a practical solution. Powerline Homeplugs use the existing AC power cabling in your home or office to ‘piggyback’ the Internet connection on the mains power supply. The Homeplug adaptor simply plugs into the mains socket. You need at least two adaptors – one for your Internet Router and one for the device at the other end. Homeplugs are able to operate between different ring mains within the home/office, so regardless of whether your router is downstairs and you need an Internet connection upstairs, it’s not a problem!
Homeplugs offer both 500Mbps (for HD Video Streaming) and 200Mbps (for Standard Definition Video Streaming) speeds giving you the choice of what level of connectivity you require:
