BBG's Supermen & women win the plaudits

Watford - 16th June 2008 - The Pants in the Park Charity Run is a unique fundraising event at Battersea Park in support of Prostate Research.  Taking place on Father's Day 2008, Sunday June 15th, the event promised to be a fun, lively affair for everyone involved.

BBG decided that this was such a worthwhile event that they wanted to support the cause as much as possible and so an impressive 13 members joined the team.  The participants of the Pants in the Park were required to complete a 5km course in Battersea Park with their pants on the outside of their clothing, Superman style.  The race created quite a spectacle with hundreds of fundraisers running through the park decked out in pants of all colours, shapes and sizes.

The BBG team had been training for a few months in preparation for the challenge ahead with competition between the team rife.  Some of the team felt more confident than others, so it was pleasing when all 13 came firing over the finishing line in quick succession.  The BBG team were highly successful on the day, not only raising a staggering £1,778 for the Prostate UK charity, but also being awarded the prize for the best team out of all the participants.

Battersea Park was alive with activity including a live band, balloons, face painting and the BBG Team enjoyed a fastantic day, taking up this challenge together in a such a vibrant atmosphere.
