BBG Conference offers Dealers an exotic location with a serious business message - Gordon Dutch extols the benefits of dealing with a Distributor that can add value and profit to your business Watford - 3rd June 2008 - Following on from the outstanding success of BBG's first Dealer Conference in Tunisia back in 2007, BBG dealers and staff gathered at the prestigious Hotel Rui Palace Oceana again this May for a 15th Anniversary event that promised to be even more enjoyable and informative than previous years.f The interest from dealers for this second annual Conference, hosted by BBG's very own Gordon Dutch, was exceptional with over 100 attendees. Dealers and their partners were invited to join the BBG team for a mix of both business and relaxation during the 3-day stay. The theme of the conference revolved around the company's revised strap line "Upgrade your AV Experience", and how this applied to both consumers and retailers and the benefits offered by BBG as an established and trustworthy distributor. The event was designed to be informative for dealers but also provide them with an opportunity to give feedback on the products and services provided by BBG. The Dealers were introduced to BBG's future plans through a series of corporate presentations ranging from the company's 15 year history and the growth strategy for this year and beyond, the other main focus for the conference presentation was Gordon Dutch urging the assembled retailers to analyse their businesses and to find the areas of expertise and difference over and above purely price driven sales. BBG would support this with staff training evenings in regions where a number of local retailers would commit to attending and also advise on areas such as store merchandising, staff incentives and how to sell the experience not just the product.
Tom Hayes of TC Hayes articulated the feeling of the delegates when he said, "For me the most significant thing was that we were reminded of the importance of selling, and crucially not only have you got to sell but you also have to make money not just a margin. The icing on the cake was we were shown a range of good quality products that we could sell both competitively and profitably, with the added bonus that we all had a great time." The conference was summed up by Gareth Astley of Astley Audio who stated "The conference was fantastic and in a marvelous location. For me it was useful to be able to see the products in real life and to place orders without the distractions of the shop. And the band 'Bright Sparks' were brilliant too". BBG hope that the conference provided all attendees with an enjoyable, informative and beneficial time and expect to see even more of our loyal dealers in attendance at the next one.
