History

BBG Distribution Ltd started up in 1993 by three young people who saw an opening in the UK car audio distribution market.

At the time, most other distributors in the market seemed only interested in pushing products into retailers without any form of backup.

BBG's founders had seen that by providing a unique blend of marketing, advertising, training, customer service and, of course, the right products at the right prices, they could create a niche. BBG was born. One of these men was Gordon Dutch who, along with his Uncle,

Reg Dutch, bought out the other shareholders.

The first additions to the portfolio were JL Audio & Dynamat, and in its first 3 years BBG grew over 700%.

By 1996 BBG had formed a dedicated home audio division. Since that time BBG has added a number of impressive new home brands - Bandridge & award-winning Profigold cabling, the fastest growing connection brands in Europe, Vogel’s, the Number 1 range of AV Supports & Furniture in Europe, Jamo, the high-quality, design-led hi-fi brand from Denmark and Ateca, stylish French manfacturer of AV furniture.
