CE marking is a mandatory conformity mark for products placed on the market in the European Economic Area (EEA). With the CE marking on a product the manufacturer ensures that the product conforms with the essential requirements of the applicable EC directives.

eCoat is a common term used to reference the painting process of electrocoating or electropainting. The process uses electricity to deposit the coating in liquid bath with an anode (anodic) or more commonly a cathode (cathodic). The coating is attracted to the part with the help of the electric field generated. eCoat offers 100% coverage on the exposed surfaces and a very consistent thin film build. This coating is used extensively as a primer for outdoor applications to prolong the protection on the metal surfaces for a far longer period of time.

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is the branch of electrical sciences which studies the unintentional generation, propagation and reception of electromagnetic energy with reference to the unwanted effects (Electromagnetic interference, or EMI) that such energy may induce. The goal of EMC is the correct operation, in the same electromagnetic environment, of different equipment which use electromagnetic phenomena, and the avoidance of any interference effects. Testing is required to confirm that a particular device meets the required standards. It divides broadly into emissions testing and susceptibility testing.

The IP Code (or Ingress Protection Rating) classifies and rates the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects. The standard aims to provide users more detailed information than vague marketing terms such as waterproof.

NEMA is the association of electrical and medical imaging equipment manufacturers. NEMA advocates standards that play a vital part in the design, production, and distribution of products destined for both national and international commerce. The Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) Facilities Development Division (FDD) reviews and inspects facility construction projects and materials. FDD enforces building standards, per the California Building Standards Code, as they relate to facilities construction.

OSHPD Special Seismic Certification is completed in accordance with the standards set forth and applied to AV mounting structures as related to seismic safety. RoHS, also known as Lead-Free, stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market after July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance. RoHS impacts the entire electronics industry and many electrical products as well.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is a global independent safety science company offering expertise across five key strategic businesses: Product Safety, Environment, Life & Health, University and Verification Services. UL promotes safe living and working environments by the application of safety science and hazard-based safety engineering.

The UL Listing mark means that the product has been submitted to rigorous safety testing according to UL1678 and UL2442. For a mounting product to pass the UL approval process it has to be tested for strength and "pull out" to a minimum of four times its stated load capacity. (Do not exceed rated capacity in actual use.)
